Obligations Never Fall, But Sometimes We Do
I’m sharing with you what has poured into my own cup from one of the important works of Abdulkadir al-Geylani — Fath ar-Rabbani (The Divine Revelation). This precious book is a collection of his spiritual discourses. In this video, I focused on a part of the 11th discourse, where he speaks about why some esoteric groups show negligence in performing the obligatory acts and lose their sense of direction. We also touched upon what it truly means to show etiquette toward the Qur’an, why disciplining the self is not oppression but a form of refinement, and how the friends of God carry a deep sensitivity within their hearts. read more
